Data storage and retention
Where your records live, and exactly how long each kind is kept.

Where it is stored
Live systems run in the Middle East, close to the people using them. Backups are held in Europe, so a problem affecting one region does not affect both.
While your account is open
Documents, the details read from them and your account information are kept for as long as the account is open, because they are the record the product exists to hold.
When an account is closed
Access ends immediately and your data enters a 30-day hold. If you tell us within those 30 days that it was a mistake, we can restore everything. After 30 days, documents, images and personal details are permanently deleted.
What survives deletion
One thing: our own record of what you were billed — the amount, the month, and whether it was paid. It carries no supplier, no document, no phone number and no name. Your documents are not part of it and are deleted with everything else.
Usage data
Usage data is not a financial record. It is deleted on a rolling basis, and we delete it sooner on request.
Backups
Backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule. Data deleted from the live system disappears from backups as those roll over, within a short period rather than immediately.
